At last Rajat felt relieved. After so many days he got a flat of his choice. A small house in a very peaceful area. The landlord of the house lives on the ground floor. In the first floor there is a one room flat. He will stay as a tenant in that flat.
RAJAT GETS A HOUSE IN MOST FASCINATING FAIRY TALE
A perfectly beautiful house. A small family. The owner of the house lived along with his wife. Upstairs Rajat too lives alone. Hence, in the whole house there is only three people altogether. After a long search Rajat got this house. No disturbance at all.

The house has a good water supply. There is a very beautiful garden with sweet smelling house surrounding the house. The landlord of the house is very fond of gardening. He keeps house very neat and tidy. There is no trace of dirt one can see in any nook and corner of the house. He labours a lot the whole day to keep the house picture perfect.
THE HOUSE HAS A SERENE ATMOSPHERE
There are even big trees in the garden. Cool breeze fills the whole house in the evening. Sleep crawls into the eyes very easily in such a calm and serene atmosphere.

Rajat did not feel like cooking on the first day of his shifting into the new house. He had labored a lot the whole day unpacking his belongings. Hence, he had to get his food from outside.

Rajat came out of the bathroom. He was feeling very fresh now. So he sat down and opened the packet of momo he had bought from the shop nearby. He ate few momos and kept the rest for dinner. Then in a relaxed mood he lay down on the bed. As he was already tired, he immediately fell fast asleep.

Suddenly Rajat’s sound sleep was disturbed. He woke up. It was midnight. He became alert. Rajat wondered what sound it was! He first thought it to be rats. Rajat was very scared of rats. But immediately his thoughts shifted. The house was in a far end of the small town. Hence, it is quite natural that thieves might creep into the house at midnight.
AN UGLY AND SCARY LOOKING MAN
Rajat, however, could not find anything suspicious. All the doors and windows were closed as usual. The room became absolutely quiet again. He remained awake for some time and fell asleep again. Again some sound disturbed his sleep. Rajat opened his eyes and saw an ugly looking man sitting in front of the packet of momo. The man was tall and skinny. He was looking at the momos with a smile on his face.
A SCARY MOMENT FOR RAJAT
Rajat was now sure a thief had entered into his room. He understood this thief would first eat momo and then steal from his house. As Rajat had thought. The man opened the packet and took one momo and put it into his mouth. Rajat saw the man enjoying the taste of momo. He then put another momo into his mouth. In this way the man ate one momo after another. Rajat was really irritated seeing an intruder eating up all his momos.

Rajat could not tolerate this any longer. He was very angry to see someone eating up his favorite momos. He asked the man, “Who are you?” The man replied very calmly, “I’m a ghost.” Rajat was taken aback. He could not believe his ears. “You are telling a lie. I know you are a thief. You will first finish my momo and then you will steal all my belongings.”

The man looked at Rajat with narrow eyes. “Trust me sir I’m a ghost. I live in the neem tree just outside this house.” Rajat still could not believe what he heard. Hence, he again asked, “How shall I believe you are not telling a lie? I really do not believe in ghosts. In that case there is no point of my believing what you said.” Rajat spoke in one breath and stopped.

Although Rajat said he did not believe in ghosts he could feel a chill running down his spine. He insisted himself to believe that the intruder is nothing but a thief. But somewhere in his conscious there was a pricking that something uncanny was taking place in this room.
A GHOST THAT EATS MOMO!
Rajat again asked the ghost, “Even if I believe what you said, then too I have a doubt.” Finishing all the momos the intruder smacked his lips. The man said, “Well, what sir?” Rajat now said, “If you are a real ghost then you certainly would not have eaten momos. Who has ever heard of a momo eating ghost?”

The ghost bared all his teeth and grinned, “Is that all you need sir? Well I came here to eat momos only.” Rajat could not help laughing this time. He said, “Why have you come here?” questioned Rajat. “Why sir, to eat momos. I was passing this way and I smelled momos. Do you know, I really love momo,” the man said. Rajat said, “Prove me then that you are a ghost.” The man laughed and then vanished!
AT LAST RAJAT BELIEVED IT WAS A GHOST IN MOST FASCINATING FAIRY TALES
It was raining outside. All the doors and windows of his flat were tightly shut. Then where can he disappear? Rajat searched everywhere but could not find the man.
Then was it really a ghost that had come to his room last night only to eat momo?
